The pads just don't seem to be retracting enough, even though they aren't stuck. I did a nice and easy 10mi loop, with no real braking at all, and the fronts were nearly stone cold, rear rotor was sizzling and the caliper was too hot to really touch. But, the more I looked into it the more I got concerned about the build quality and what I considered basic design flaws. Had I found what I had been looking for I test rode a couple to make sure. New problem, the brake is now definitely dragging AND making a horrendous noise and a bit of a shudder (only when braking at anything over a walking pace). Characterful engine with good torque across the rev range. The stock rearset has a return spring (torsion spring on the pivot) Looking at the DP rearset fitting a clean looking spring would be an interesting challenge Its not a bad idea to maybe fit a spring so the M/C spring isn't doing all the work. Some people have discussed this on various threads. The stop screw is behind the pedal if you have DP rearset. ![]()
